When should I book my homecoming photographer

It’s never too early! You can book your homecoming session as soon as your spouse deploys. As homecoming day gets closer, more spouses start looking for a photographer, and I can only book one family per squadron, ship, or command.

I completely understand that you won’t have an exact date for a while—and even when you do, it’ll likely change multiple times. That’s totally normal! Don’t ever worry about updating me with new dates in a discreet way; staying in the loop is key to making sure I’m there when you need me.

Thanks to our own family’s experience, I know just how unpredictable homecomings can be! No matter when that special moment happens, I’ll be ready to capture it for you!

What if I have to reschedule and you are not available

I do everything I can to accommodate you, no matter how many times your homecoming date changes. But sometimes, I may be traveling or already booked for a session that can’t be rescheduled. Even though there isn’t anything that can’t be really rescheduled except homecomings and that’s why they are my priority always.

I created an incredible network of photographers, and if I’m unavailable, I’ll personally help you find a trusted colleague who is. And of course, if I’m unable to take your photos, your deposit will be fully refunded. My priority is making sure you have someone there to capture your special moment!

What to wear for you homecoming photos

Your outfit can add a special touch to your homecoming photos, and there are a few great ways to choose what to wear!

• Compliment your hero’s uniform – Whether it’s green, khaki, navy blue, or another shade, coordinating with their uniform creates a polished, cohesive look. And trust me—your photos will be absolutely stunning!

• Go patriotic – Red, white, and blue always look incredible, especially since there will likely be American flags in the background. Adding a small flag to wave in a few photos can make for a beautiful, meaningful touch.

• Themed outfits work too! – A homecoming is a perfect time to embrace a patriotic or classic, timeless style that suits the occasion.

More Tips:

• Runway or hangar homecoming. Keep in mind that these locations are super windy! If you’re planning to wear a short flowy dress, be prepared for the breeze.

• Be ready to run! High heels look beautiful, but will you be able to sprint into your partner’s arms?

• Rain in the forecast? No worries—I always have a clear umbrella on hand to keep you looking great while staying dry.

What if my husband comes back home on a commercial flight

Fly-ins and ship arrivals are breathtaking and make for stunning photos, but they’re not the only way to capture the beauty and emotion of a homecoming. Your reunion is just as meaningful, no matter how it happens.

Is your husband arriving on a commercial flight? That’s just as special! The emotions of seeing each other again won’t change, and I’ll be there to capture every moment. Maybe he’s driving home instead—no problem! I can be there, waiting in front of your house, ready to document that first embrace.

How much does a homecoming package cost

My military homecoming package is $650.
