What is the best photo shoot location?

We are so lucky living near the beach, so why not take advantage of having the best location in the world just few minutes away. We will meet on one of my favorite beach location such as Sandbridge, Chicks Beach, Norfolk or Dam Neck in the late evening to be there just in time for the magic golden hour or super early in the morning, if you are a morning person and love sunrises.
Less is more. That is my motto. Beach scenery is simple, peaceful and tranquil, offers amazing backdrops, and the colors easily match with the color palette of different outfits. On the other hand, the beach is also so much fun to shoot at. Imagine your children jumping over the waves, splashing each other, or running around in the white sand. I don’t use any props but I will have a blanket for you in case you don’t feel comfortable sitting on the sand. On top of all that, you don’t need to think about the perfect shoes to match your clothing as no shoes are needed! :)

You’re not a beach person? That’s fine! I have plenty of other favorite locations around Hampton Roads we can meet at. Just tell me what you fancy? An organized well-maintained park, a wild field, tall trees, a lake, or the city vibe? The options are endless. Among my favorite are Oak Grove Park in Chesapeake in the morning, Red wing park with its’ amazing sunset colors or Norfolk Botanical Gardens. I don’t recommend having your photo shoot at the beach in the fall because no one wants to miss out on the most colorful foliage. I have to happily admit; Virginia has the most magical fall I have ever seen around the world!
Home sweet home
Let’s meet in your gorgeous home! That’s right, every home is beautiful because it’s your family that makes it special. No, you don’t have to clean and tidy the whole house. We can use just one or two rooms and no deep clean is necessary! :)
The best time is when the light is the brightest and that’s usually in the morning. In-home sessions are great for winter months when it’s just too cold outside. But on a super grey and gloomy day, it might be too dark in your house, so we would have to reschedule. In-home session are just perfect for newborns. Maybe you don’t feel comfortable taking your baby outside just yet and I tottaly get in. In the comfort of your home you can easily change baby’s outfit when needed, feed the baby, put him to sleep etc. It’s waaay easier to stay home with a newborn baby. But remember in-home sessions are not only for newborns.
